Owner and head groomer, Barbara Vaughan, has over twenty years of experience grooming, six years of experience breeding and has worked as a medical assistant at Hall Animal Hospital and the Emergency Pet Care. She was originally trained at a Veterinarian's office which helps her recognize common problems she sees among her customers.

In September, 2006 she opened her own grooming business which started at her home. In 2008, she opened a shop at Mt. Laurel. As of August, 2011 Blue Rock is now located in Chelsea where doggie daycare is also provided. We also offer "at home boarding" exclusively for our grooming customers.

Blue Rock wants to help you take care of your furry loved ones and believe that means we must develop a relationship with your pet. Barbara likes to take her time, pay attention to detail and she really does enjoy her job. She looks at each pet customer as her own "work of art". Blue Rock uses an excellent line of natural botanical shampoos as well as medicated, flea & tick, moisturizing, protein, along with rinses and conditioners. All grooms include ear cleaning and plucking, cut or buff nails, express anal glands and a teeth treatment. Your pet will smell as clean as it looks! We are a family owned business.

Special Note:

BLUE ROCK GROOMING was originally named after Barbara's stud dog "Rocky" but it actually has a much deeper meaning. In the Bible, the color "blue" was used to help the children of Israel remember God's law (Numbers 15:38-40) "Rock" is God (the rock of our salvation Psalms 103:18:2) BLUE ROCK means: Remember to obey God!
